RAFCA Awards 2021

The Annual Recycled Art competition is back!

The Cowra Tidy Towns Committee is pleased to announce that the annual Recycled Art for Cowra Award (RAFCA) is again being held this year at the Aquatic Centre.

All sculptures must be created from recycled materials, and must be on the theme of Celebrations and Holidays.

Entries are invited from pre-schoolers to Year 12 students, and all ages in between, with great prizes of up to $500. Every entrant will win a prize! Young people can enter individually or in a group or class.

Let your imaginations run wild – you could create an artwork to do with a public holiday such as Australia Day, Christmas or ANZAC Day. What about Halloween, Talk Like A Pirate Day or World Peace Day? Or pay tribute to your favourite people with an entry referencing Mothers or Fathers Day – or a birthday party theme. Or just create a scene showing something that you like to do in the holidays.

There's a special prize for entries using over 50% tin or aluminium, in honour of RAFCA's 10th birthday last year.

Key dates are September 13-14, when entries can be brought to the Aquatic Centre between 1-5 pm, and Sunday 19th September, when winners are announced at the annual fun day.
