Residents urged to use Dine & Discover vouchers before cut-off date

Cowra Council and the Cowra Business Chamber are urging residents to take advantage of the extension of the NSW Dine & Discover scheme to support local dining, arts and tourism businesses.
Cowra Council Mayor, Councillor Bill West, welcomed the announcement by the State Government that the Dine & Discover initiative will be extended by a month, until Saturday 31 July.
"I urge Shire residents that may still have unused vouchers at home, to take advantage of the extension and use them at local businesses before they expire," Cr West said.
"If you haven't already applied for your vouchers, all residents' 18years+ can do this via the Service NSW website, or by visiting the local Service NSW office to receive your two $25 dining vouchers and two $25 discover vouchers to be redeemed at participating, COVID safe venues," Cr West continued.
"By using your vouchers in Cowra, you're not only stimulating the local economy, you're supporting our community – our neighbours, friends and families," Cowra Business Chamber President, Jordan Core said.
There are currently 16 businesses in Cowra, along with the Woodstock and Gooloogong Hotel, which are registered for locals to use their vouchers for a meal. The discover vouchers can be used locally at the Cowra Civic Centre and Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to discover your local arts scene, and access our amazing and diverse winter program," said Jonathan Llewellyn, Manager of Cowra Civic Centre.
"The discover vouchers can be used for all performing arts and cinema events currently on sale via over the counter or phone bookings. Visit www.cowraciviccentre.com for a full listing of events – there truly is something for everyone," Mr Llewellyn said.
The discover vouchers also provide the opportunity to re-explore an old favourite, with a free visit to the Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre.
"We encourage residents to take advantage of the discover vouchers to visit the Garden and see an exhibition of local artists in our Cultural Centre. There's always something new to see," said Cowra Japanese Garden Manager, Shane Budge.
