Proposal to Lease Public Land – Café Olympic Park Cowra

Cafe Rose

In accordance with section 47(1) of the ‘Local Government Act 1993’, Cowra Shire Council gives 28 days of Public notice that it proposes to grant a lease for the following property (‘Land’):

Café currently known as the Rose Garden Coffee House, part Lot 411 DP 726962 and part Lot 6 DP 1010861, Olympic Park, Corner of Grenfell, Boorowa and Young Roads Cowra, which is part of Olympic Park Crown Reserve 46688.

The Land is a Crown Reserve for which Council is the appointed Crown Land Manager. The land is managed pursuant to Sections 3.21(2) and 3.22 of the Crown Lands Management Act 2016, as if it were community land for the purposes of the Local Government Act 1993.

The intention is to grant a lease for the purpose of a Café currently known as the Rose Garden Coffee House for a period of up to 9 years (including options).

Under the proposed 9 year term of the lease, the subject land will continue to be used as a Café  in accordance with the Plan of Management.

Making a submission

Written submissions may be made up until 4pm 19th June, 2024 and must be marked ‘Lease to operate Café currently known as the Rose Garden Coffee House” and sent to: Cowra Shire Council, Private Bag 342, COWRA NSW 2794, or council@cowra.nsw.gov.au.
