Congratulations to Cowra Community Grant recipients!

Representatives of local community groups that were recipients under the most recent round of Cowra Community Grants recently attended a presentation at Cowra Council.
 
Cowra Mayor, Cr Bill West, noted the worthwhile nature of these targeted grants that are now in their 14th round. Funding was awarded to 19 Cowra Shire groups, totalling $21,186.40.
 
Projects funded this round included:
  • $1000 to the Corridor Project to assist with the purchase of easels for workshops involving youth in the Cowra region. The easels will be built by the Cowra Men's Shed.
  • $976 to the Cowra Services Squash Club to assist with the purchase of technology to broadcast Cowra Squash Club matches.
  • $1,550 to Riding for the Disabled (NSW) Cowra Centre to assist with the replacement of approximately 200m of plain wire fencing in the RDA horse paddock that was washed away in the last flood.
The next round of Cowra Community Grants will open on the 1 August 2022.
