Chair of the Australian Chapter of the World Peace Bell Association, Cr Cheryl Downing is encouraging community members to make their way to Cowra Civic Square in Darling Street and ring the peace bell at a special ceremony planned for the International Day of Peace.

“Cowra’s privileged place as the home of Australia’s World Peace Bell takes on special significance on the International Day of Peace, which will be celebrated on Tuesday 19 September in Cowra. The Australian Chapter of the World Peace Bell Association has organised a special program of events for the celebration and we invite all of our Shire residents to take part,” Cr Downing said.
