2024 Local Government Elections

Council has received the declaration from the Returning Officer advising the number of candidates nominated for election is not greater than the number to be elected. Therefore, in accordance with section 311 of the Local Government Act 1993 the following candidates have been declared elected as of Saturday 14 September 2024:

  • DOWNING, Cheryl 
  • HORTON, Tony (Independent) 
  • WATT, Erin 
  • SPEECHLEY, Cheryl (Independent) 
  • FAGAN, Ruth 
  • WRIGHT, Peter (Independent) 
  • KISS, Nikki (Independent) 

We congratulate the successful candidates on their election to Cowra Council. 

The successful candidates will vote to choose Cowra's Mayor and Deputy Mayor when they meet for the first time in October 2024.
