Recycled Art for Cowra Award 2017

The Recycled Art for Cowra Awards (RAFCA) is on again!

Cowra Tidy Towns Chair, Councillor Judi Smith explained that this year's competition has the intriguing theme of 'Showtime'.

"It's a very broad category which we hope will enthuse young people as much as last year's 'Song Titles'. Think show in any sense of the word: circuses, movies, TV shows, musicals, plays... and entrants can represent the titles of the show, a character they like, even a scene.

"There are lots of other types of shows — fashion, puppet, flower. And of course agricultural shows like the Cowra show or some of our vibrant village shows. They can let their imaginations run wild!" Cr Smith said.

Judging for this year's RAFCA is on Wednesday, 6 September 2017 and entries must be brought in to the Aquatic Centre in the week before.

"Again this year, there are great cash prizes for all categories, including $500 for Best in Show. Entry forms are currently being sent out to all previous competitors, and will be available in hard copy at the Council front desk, or online on the Council website," Cr Smith concluded.
