Cowra Council and Transport NSW will host a special morning for cycling enthusiasts at Europa Park in Cowra this Saturday 28 September, with two fantastic free workshops on offer to learn new skills in bike maintenance and riding in a group.
The bike maintenance workshops will teach cyclists the basics of keeping your bike in working order and will be led by trained bike mechanics Kirsten and Dave from Wheeler Cycles of Bathurst. Kirsten has loads of experience as a cyclist and has taken her passion into the business. She is eager to share great tips on maintaining your bike.
For those new to cycling, you may prefer the 'Learn to Ride in a Group' workshop. This workshop will be delivered by cyclist Toireasa Gallagher, winner of Paralympic gold and silver medals as pilot for legally blind athlete Lindy Hou. Toireasa will teach cyclists safety and etiquette in group riding.
The workshops will run concurrently at 10am and 11am so you can participate in both. Plenty of giveaways are on offer including bike repair kits for all participants. The workshops are designed for those 12 years and older to ensure safety.
