National Disability Insurance Agency to visit Cowra

Mayor of Cowra, Cr Bill West has apologised to the local Member, the Hon. Michael McCormack MP, after a recent media release indicated Council had not received a response to a letter the Mayor sent to Mr McCormack in November 2018 relating to concerns in the Cowra community over the NDIS roll-out.

It has subsequently been found that a response was provided directly from the office of the former Minister, the Hon Paul Fletcher following representations made by Mr McCormack.

"I'm happy to correct the record and have personally apologised to Michael," said Cr West.

"I am also pleased to report that as a result of Mr McCormack's follow up, Council has been contacted in the last week directly by the National Disability Insurance Agency and a representative will be coming to Cowra in the next few weeks to hear the concerns of our community," Cr West concluded.
