Cowra's warm dry winter has created the perfect spring conditions for Cowra Aquatic Centre's free season opening for all on Saturday, September 30.
And with the warm weather here to stay, swimmers will enjoy the water at a perfect 24°C for the first weekend of the swim season. Last year's highly-popular inflatable obstacle course is also back and will be "going-up" over coming weekends.
In more good news for swimmers, ticket prices have also been "frozen" for a third straight year!
"With the warm, dry winter and recent hot weather, the pool is at a good temperature and ready for business," General Manager, Paul Devery said.
With free entry, Saturday's the ideal time to have a look at the off-season improvements made at our local swimming facilities.
"Now's the ideal time to start good habits for the coming swim season and burn-off those winter kilo's," Paul added.
"Congratulations must go to Manager, Kerry Lynch and his staff for the terrific work undertaken over winter at the Aquatic Centre — the inflatable ride is sure to be a hit throughout our Cowra summer," Paul said.
The free entry day coincides with the front counter at the centre opening for regular swimmers wanting to purchase their season tickets or 10 visit passes in readiness for the opening.
Opening hours for the Aquatic Centre will remain the same as last year:
• Morning Swimming — Everyday (except Sundays and public holidays): 5.30–8am
