Parks & Reserves

Cowra has a number of parks and reserves available for public use. Many of these are used by various community groups as sportsfields for sports such as hockey, cricket and touch football. Click through the links below for more information on each park, including the cost of hiring each and an interactive map showing their location.

- River Park
Located adjacent to the Cowra Aquatic Centre, River Park consists of 41,653m2 of high quality sportfields (Twigg & Holman Ovals) catering for soccer, athletics, rugby league (junior), cricket, basketball, triathlon and unstructured recreation.

- Edgell Park
Located on the western side of the Lachlan River, Edgell Park comprises three sporting areas: Oliver Oval, McPherson Oval and Raudonikis Oval. Catering for cricket, hockey and touch football, the area is serviced by public toilets, a modern kiosk facility (available for hire) and change room facilities.

- Mulyan Oval
Mulyan Oval is the home of Cowra AFL, with junior and senior competitions running through the winter sports season. Toilet, change room and kiosk facilities are available on site.

- Rodwell Oval
Rodwell Oval is named after former Cowra Alderman, Mr Aub Rodwell. Rodwell Oval comprises a synthetic wicket and practice nets and is used for reserve grade senior cricket and junior cricket.

- Col Stinson Park
Col Stinson Park, named after past Mayor of Cowra Municipal Council, Ald C.B. Stinson (1972) is home to Cowra's only skate park and netball in Cowra. Consisting of 12 grass netball courts and 6 bitumen courts, the area is floodlit for twilight competitions as well as catering for a strong winter competition.
