Are you a community group with a worthwhile project? Need new equipment or improvements to a garden or building? Then, Cowra Council's Community Grants Program may be for you!
The next round of Cowra Council's $50,000 Community Grants Program is now open, with eligible community groups having until Friday 31 August 2018 to lodge applications.
Applications for projects such as community gardens, environmental education, the construction of garden beds and re-vegetation are encouraged under the Natural Resource Management category which provides up to $1000 per grant.
The Small Capital Equipment category has also been increased to $1000 per grant under this round to allow community groups to apply for equipment such as new photocopiers and printers.
In the last round of the program, a total of 19 local groups were presented with cheques ranging from $380–$2000 for projects including building, restoring, painting, sporting equipment, and the design of a new airport hangar.
Groups applying must be not-for-profit, primarily volunteer run and based in Cowra Shire. Projects must also directly benefit the local community.
Applicants that were successful in the most recent round of the Community Grants Program are able to apply again under this round, provided they have submitted their acquittal report.
