Cowra provides a number of first-class recreational facilities that are available for both residents and visitors. Most of the parks listed below offer barbecue facilities and children's play equipment making them ideal for family picnics and weary travellers. Cowra Aquatic Centre
The Cowra Aquatic Centre is a fantastic community resource for all Cowra residents. The Centre caters for all age groups and also has a very large exercise program for disabled and injured persons. The complex includes a seven-lane heated pool and an undercover toddlers wading pool. The surrounding shady grassed area is equipped with barbeques and is available for birthday parties and get-togethers.
The Cowra Aquatic Centre is also home to the following swim clubs:

- Various Swimming and Training Squads
The Cowra Aquatic Centre is open from Saturday 1 October 2016.

Tuesday: 10.00am–6.00pm (early close for Swimming Club on Tuesdays)

The great new inflatable obstacle course will be open for $2, one-hour sessions starting at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm, and 3.30pm on weekends. The swimming season at Cowra Aquatic Centre runs up until the end of March, 2017.

Cowra Skate Park
Cowra Skate Park is located in the Col Stinson Park sporting complex which includes both asphalt and grass netball courts, a modified-size soccer field, toilets and parking. This means that the facility has become a popular spectator venue for families with its close proximity to Cowra PCYC offering the opportunity for the future expansion of youth recreation activities in this area.
Cowra Skate Park is open for use during daylight hours. Organisations may also apply to book the skate park for a regular program or special event. Users are advised that a regular booking by Cowra High School conducts supervised skating lessons on Wednesday afternoons from 1.15–3.15pm during school terms. The skate park is closed to members of the public at these times.

Want to get yourself or your family involved in local sport? Cowra Council’s “Get Active in Cowra” booklet provides a comprehensive list of sporting clubs and organisations in Cowra and district.
These include for winter sports ranging from the rugby codes, football, hockey, netball, and AFL to summer sports such as cricket, athletics, aquatics, and touch football.
All year sports include bowls, basketball, gymnastics, martial arts, and boxing. Other activities such as dancing, bush-walking, model plane building, and exercising are also included in the booklet.
